Welcome to FAQ

I understand you might have questions before your makeup appointment. Here, you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions, designed to help you prepare and feel completely at ease with me.

How should I prepare for my makeup appointment with Justynamakeup?

Preparation is key for a flawless and long-lasting look!

  • Hydration: Give your skin a good cleanse and moisturise the night before your appointment. Well-hydrated skin provides the best canvas for makeup.
  • Sun Protection: Please avoid sunbathing for at least 3 days before your appointment. Sunburn can cause makeup to sit unevenly and reduce its longevity.
  • Allergies & Concerns: Inform me immediately about any allergies or skin concerns you may have, especially if you experience cold sores (lip herpes) or styes on your eye. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.

What should I wear for my makeup appointment?

To ensure your makeup stays perfect, we recommend wearing a loose-fitting top that can be easily changed without touching or damaging your finished look.

  • For Brides: If you're coming for a bridal makeup trial, I suggest wearing white or light-coloured clothing (such as beige or ivory) that mimics the colour of your wedding dress. This helps you visualise the complete bridal look more accurately.

What makeup brands do you use?

I use a variety of high-quality, professional makeup brands known for their longevity and skin-friendly formulas. Brands include NARS, MAC, Buda Beauty, G.Armani, Charlotte Tilbury, and others, chosen to best suit your skin type and desired look.

How long does a typical makeup session take?

A standard makeup session typically takes between 60-80 minutes, depending on the complexity of the look and any specific requirements. Bridal makeup trials or special occasion looks might require a bit more time.

Do I do hair ?

No, however I work together with amazing hair stylist. Feel free to ask me if she's also available for your date.

Do you travel for appointments?

Yes, I offer mobile makeup services within Essex and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance. Please enquire when booking your appointment.

Do I require a deposit?

A small non-refundable deposit is required to book your makeup appointment. This helps secure your chosen date and time just for you. Please understand that once your spot is reserved, it’s removed from my schedule for others, so the deposit cannot be refunded. Thank you so much for respecting my time and schedule—I truly appreciate it!
